Extreme Sports in Namibia

I like to dabble with some extreme/adventurous activities in my free-time. For example, I like to go kitesurfing under the Golden Gate Bridge or surfing in the cold waves off of Ocean Beach, SF. What are some ways we can experience Namibia in an extreme sport setting? Here are a few that stood out to me.

1) Kitesurfing
Off the souther coast of Namibia you will find some pristine kiteboarding conditions. Fresh, south westerly winds provide a reliable and consistent source of wind to launch kiteboarding across the water. Walvis Bay lagoon is one of the best spots to do this in Namibia.

2) Shark Angling
Apparently you can fish sharks just for the adrenaline rush. All of the sharks are fishes catch and release thankfully, but just putting that animal under the stress of being dragged by a metal hook is quite disturbing, maybe I shouldn't continue to talk about this extreme activity.

3) Rafting on the Kunene
This activity looks much more fun and environmentally conscious!  Nevertheless, their are crocodiles in the river where you are rafting...so thinking about this again, maybe I wouldn't want to partake in this either. The waterfalls and stunning landscapes of the Kunene river look unforgettable, but a crocodile bitting your leg off also seems painfully unforgettable.

4) Rock Climbing
Namibia has two main climbing areas, the Spitzkoppe (1,728m) and the Brandberg Mastiff (2,573m and Namibia's highest point). Climbing difficulty is as hard as you want to make it in Namibia, going with a guide is strongly recommended. Here is the Spitzkoppe jutting out of a flat plane, quite stunning...
