I didn't know what the Caprivi strip was until very recently, but it's pretty cool.
It used to be the sight of border wars between Botswana and Namibia and of South Africa Apartheid rule but now it is under Namibian control and is a very big up and coming tourist destination. The photo directly below and above is of a new luxury lodge called Divava Resort. Interestingly they have a link to a preschool the resort has funded on the website. https://www.divava.com/en/divava-pre-primary-school
There is amazing wildlife in the Caprivi strip and the environment is less desert-like and more temperate as you can see from the above photos. Different from the Okakuejo water holes, which are very small and shallow, the water above looks deeper and more expansive. For the beautiful scenery and amazing wildlife, the Caprivi strip is a very up and coming destination. Although we are not going there, it's interesting to think about how different areas within Namibia are in terms of biogeography and culture. -Ellie Chen
